The biggest street party in the world.For 33 years on 30 april all Holland celebrated the Queen’s day with country wide party’s,festivities and free market-everybody can sell their staff on the street free of tax, a bit like a giant garage sale.That was then and this is now.Because as of today Holland have a new King- Willem Alexander.

Yesterday was a historical day, marking the abdication of Beatrix the queen of Holland and the official coronation of her son Alexander.This is the new royal couple-King Alexander and his Argentinian born wife Queen Maxima.

And here is my outfit I especially created for this King’s day celebration.Everybody tries to wear orange(the national color) for this occasions, so I incorporated royal blue and orange,literally the night before the event.Here is the result.

The outfit is made of a long suit jacket,cut in 2.So the top part becomes the new crop top, and the bottom part is sewn onto a leather skirt,cut in half.
